Just northeast of Butler there is a sharp bend in the traffic where Teeter Road, Snyder Road, and State Route 97 all converge; and for many generations the place has been known as Four Corners.
In spite of whatever denominational sign is out front of the little church, in whatever generation it happens to be seen, the church has always been referred to in the surrounding community as Four Corners Church, and the graveyard as Four Corners Cemetery.
For the last decade, the congregation has been the Clear Fork Branch of the North Bend Church of the Brethren. Before that it was the Clearfork Wesleyan Church, and they were the ones who expanded the building to its present size.
