Kedar, a five-term MLA from Saoner in Nagpur, was sentenced to five years in jail on December 22 by a magistrate court in Nagpur on charges including criminal breach of trust in a case linked to the Nagpur district cooperative bank when he was the chairman between 1999 and 2002.
Congress MLA Sunil Kedar has been disqualified from the Maharashtra assembly after being convicted in a Rs 150 crore bank scam. He has been sentenced to five years of rigorous imprisonment and fined Rs 12.5 lakh.
