The Human Rights and Conflict Resolution Centre, a Non-Governmental Organisation, said it received 207 cases in Ebonyi in 2020.
The Acting Director of the organisation, Mr George Etamesor, said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abakaliki on Monday. x
Etamesor said the Department of Women and Children received 58 cases, while Access to Justice, Peace Building and Miscellaneous recorded 87, 19 and 43 cases, respectively.
He said the cases were categorised into family dispute and maintenance, children’s custody, domestic violence, debt maintenance, land and landlord-tenant disputes, amongst others.
He said that while 46 cases were resolved, 20 were pending and 27 kept in view.
