COVID-19 cases continue to plague Athol

ATHOL The number of positive cases of COVID-19 in Athol continues to top the century mark.
Health Agent Deb Vondal told the Board of Health Tuesday that Athol had more active cases of COVID-19 than at any time since the pandemic began in March.
“As of today, we have 418 total cases to date,” Vondal began. “We had eight new cases this morning alone. Three-hundred-three tests have cleared; there were an additional three cleared yesterday, eight cleared the day before. So, that brings us to 115 active cases in town.
“Just as an FYI,” she continued, “there are 25 positive cases over at the nursing home (Quabbin Valley Health Care).
