Madison Township and Lake County commissioners have teamed up to contribute $2.6 million in American Rescue Plan Act funds for the sewer project. Overall, the initiative is expected to cost $4 million, Brown said.
Another major goal for Madison Village government in 2024 is to complete the transfer of its water and sewer utilities to the Lake County Utilities Department.
Cossick, during her speech, said Lake Development Authority is working with MSA Consultants to prepare and submit applications for permits to construct a new breakwater at the future marina. Those requests would be sent to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
