Actually Fresh Produce. I am proud to say that abc7s parent company, disney, is committed to fighting hunger. This past year disney donated 1. 5 million to the feeding America Network of food banks, and this means that each of our local food banks in the network received 15,000 from disney and abc7 to continue their important efforts. Right now we have a local story of a young person making a difference. The city of san jose is teaming up with a south bay teenager to fight hunger. Kiran sridhar founded waste no food, a website and an app that lets businesses donate leftover food to charities. The hunger at home has already used the app to help Silicon Valley companies and restaurants donate 10,000 meals that otherwise would go to the landfill. Todays holiday makes this story especially meaningful, we were there when the family went through what was left of their home most items destroyed but a few survived, the most meaningful ones. A fire so hot it spread to the house next door and then burned paint off the side of the house in all from a Battery Charging her grandsons toy electric car. It was almost like the 4th of july how sparks went boom. She told us they were made by florian and removed. Its on the bottom probably totally disintegrated. Everything she owns this now blackened rental home. The damage in house, all of the furniture, clothing, memories, there was one in particular that concerned her the most. Its my dad. Portions of the walls and removing freestanding pieces of material in areas of the warehouse investigators dont believe anyone was in the night of the fire. We have completely searched the area directly below where we are knocking these down, we have not only run people through there we have ran the cadaver dogs and other search dogs, at this point we have declared the area where the debris will fall searched. The building was not equipped with fire sprinklers or smoke detectors. The autopsies show everybody died from smoke inhalation. It was before any fire or collapsing. The origin of the fire they believe is toward the back of the warehouse near a refrigerator, officials are being mindful of family members and loved ones seeing the demolition pictures on tv and social media.
