The historic Mason County marching band that is known for wearing colorful outfits to parades and festivals around Michigan didn’t perform once last year because of the pandemic.
“We rely on those performances to cover our expenses and also to support youth performing artists,” band president Jim Lindenau said in a prepared statement.
The band, consisting of dozens of musicians, typically performs at several events in West Michigan each year. The band’s members are hoping to get back to putting smiles on people’s faces once again this year.
