This month the Unified Government of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, Kansas, adopted a community benefits ordinance to fund child care, affordable housing, and senior citizen home repairs programs.
The proposed hotel would be built near the former site of Joe Louis Arena now called Water Square and connect to Huntington Place via a pedestrian bridge.
