Buckeyes Head to Bloomington For Big Weekend Series with Indiana and Nebraska

Indiana – TBA COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State heads to Bloomington this weekend to face the top two teams in the conference in host Indiana and Nebraska. The Buckeyes have played both teams already this season. Ohio State and Nebraska split a pair of games in Minneapolis in March and Ohio State swept Indiana in a four-game series in Columbus at the beginning of April. Nebraska holds a one-game lead over Indiana for the top spot in the conference. The Buckeyes are in sixth place, 5.5 games back. The Opponents Nebraska comes into the weekend at 25-11 and lead the conference by one game.

Buckeyes Drop Opener with MSU, 10-7

Share COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State seniors Conner Pohl and Brent Todys both extended their career-high hitting streaks on Friday night but Michigan State did a little more hitting in a 10-7 victory. The Buckeyes are now 18-15 on the season. Game two of the series will be Saturday afternoon with a 3:05 first pitch. Pohl drove a ball out the opposite way to left to leadoff the fourth inning for his team-high 11 th home run of the season. He has now hit safely in the last 15 games. Todys followed him one batter later with a double up the gap in right to extend his hit-streak a career-high 13 games. Both players added two more hits and each finished with three hits apiece.

Share ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Ohio State scored five unanswered runs to come back and beat Michigan 7-4 in game one of a huge weekend series in Ann Arbor on Friday afternoon. The Buckeyes slugged 13 hits on their way to a fifth consecutive victory. OSU is now 13-7 on the season and pull even with Michigan for second place in the Big Ten standings. “We’ve got some tough guys that just keep battling,” said Brent Todys. “We’re never going to be the team that just goes away. 1-9 we have guys that can get a big hit. We kept fighting today and we’re having some fun right now.”
