this vote play out already on the house floor in july. it s really been a long and winding process for this bill, which would offer protections for same sex and interracial couples in the event the supreme court revisited the decisions that gave those rights to those couples in the first place. all of this stemming from the dobbs decision over the summer that overturned the roe v. wade precedent that had 49 years on the books. it gave the right to same sex couples only has a few years in the books. so lawmakers in congress on both the house and the senate mobilizing to offer this sort of safety net should the supreme court take up those precedents. what we expect to see in the house is yet another bipartisan passage of this legislation. perhaps even more so than we did in july when 47 republican lawmakers voted with democrats to pass these codifications. what may have more republicans voting in favor this time is the fact that the senate bill
