Texas Tech’s Co-Ed Cheer Squad took home third today at the National Cheerleaders Association & National Dance Alliance Collegiate Cheer and Dance Championships.

Texas Tech’s Pom and Co-Ed Cheer squads, part of the university’s Spirit Program, competed Friday at the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) & National Dance Alliance (NDA) Collegiate Cheer and Dance Championships in Daytona Beach, Florida.
The Pom Squad finished in first place in both the Division IA Pom category and the Division IA Dance Jazz category, while the Co-Ed Cheer Squad took second place in the Co-Ed Cheer category, falling behind Oklahoma State University by one point.
This is the sixth national title for the Pom Squad, three for pom and three for jazz. It finished first in jazz in 2017 and 2018 and first in pom in 2018, the first year the squad competed in the pom category.
