Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools is parting ways with yet another superintendent after firing Earnest Winston this week. SS. Cyril and Philomena School has relocated this year to the former St. Philomena School building with a name reflecting its heritage, and with renovations to keep it serving as an Independence Mission School for years to come.
