Talk About Clyde: City recreation gears up for summer
Jeanette Ricker
New playground equipment is scheduled to be installed at Thaddeus Hurd Park this summer, formerly known as Cherry Street Park.
Jim Mason, park superintendent, said the Clyde Recreation Board approved the purchase, but the installation date is not yet determined, citing unexpected manufacturing and delivery delays due to COVID-19.
The equipment is all inclusive with several components to accommodate both handicapped and able-bodied children, including swing sets and climbing equipment, Mason said. Recent improvements to the park include walking trails. There is a basketball hoop and a portable toilet.
