Not many dry eyes. This program was planned in the fall, well before wolterman gave his life to save a couple thought to be inside a burning home in late december. But School Leaders say the point of the lessons about heroes is to teach students anyone can be a hero, and how important they truly are. Students of all ages sang songs and shared their thoughts on what makes a hero. We talked with one very wellspoken fifth grader about his thoughts on why First Responders should be recognized each day.
