chief meteorologist glenn hurricane schwartz is standing by. glenn, is the rain moving out of here soon? the heavy rain has moved out. in other areas it s just going to be tapering off. we got about two inches of rain officially in philadelphia in one day more than the entire month of may. a lot more. there s the live shot of cape may. the streets are wet. the streets are wet just about everywhere else too. they re going to stay wet. the clouds are going to stay with us. the fog is going to stay with us. it s going to be kind of a dim day. the flash flood watch expires at 6:00 a.m. the flash flood advisory expires at 5:30. the radar getting less active. up to the north and west the top of the screen is getting a little more active. that s the area we re going to be focusing on probably this afternoon as the southern area of rain continues to shrink. the amount of rain is pretty amazing in those areas of red mainly from delaware county south ward through delaware and p ....
in just a few minutes and see when it s going to warm up. now jessica boyington has the traffic. thank you, glen. yeah we re on the vine street expressway right now looking for some areas with some ponding. i can t find any. that s actually definitely a good thing. eighth street headed westbound towards the schuylkill expressway, no problems. a 2-minute trip from 95. that s definitely good news. 95 southbound from woodhaven road towards the vine street expressway, a 2-minute trip there. the schuylkill and blue route is doing just fine headed southbound. there is some rain falling in some parts. it s not resulting in a lot of ponding. you can see out in new jersey on the 42 freeway behind here on our radar, rain actively falling at this point. you can see the cars still free and in the clear. no problems heading up towards the walt whitman bridge. we ll check in with the rest of the area bridges coming up in 10 chris. jessica is watching the roads with her computer. ....
dealing with this morning s wet weather. nbc 10 s matt delucia is tracking what all the rain did to the roads. he s in storm force 10. matt, where are you exactly and what are you seeing? reporter: tracy, right now we are on route 50 in hamilton township. we ll go ahead and give you a look at the road right now. you can see most of it is just wet at this point. we ve seen a little bit of ponding on the side of the roads here and there. overall, really not too bad. drivers are taking it a little bit easier on the roadways this morning. this area did get a lot of rain over the past couple of days here. let s go ahead and show you some video from earlier this morning. we were in hammonton where we saw a sinkhole on pratt street. a pretty big sinkhole opening up 2 to 3 feet deep. the weather is having an impact on some areas. some areas a little bit differently than others. a lot of major roads not experiencing issues. another live look out here, this is route 50 in ham ....
