Man held for murder of pregnant wife

The Preah Sihanouk Provincial Court on May 14 placed a 43-year-old man in pre-trial detention for the “brutal” slaying of his pregnant wife in Prey Nop district’s Choeung Kor commune on May 10. Provincial court spokesman Ly Chandara said on May 15 that the investigating judge had charged Yem Chenda with the murder of his wife Vun Van, 36, in the commune’s Choeung Kor village.

Share Preah Sihanouk keeps 3 factories shut Thu, 27 May 2021 The Preah Sihanouk provincial authorities have temporarily suspended the operations of three factories in two special economic zones for another week from May 26 to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Two of the factories – Cambodian Everwin Express and Prowood (Cambodia) Flowering – are located in the Preah Sihanouk Special Economic Zone on National Road 4 in Prey Nop district’s Bit Traing commune. The other factory is Xie Cheang Home Furnishings, located in the Jejiang Gorji Special Economic Zone on National Road 4 in Prey Nop district’s Choeung Kor commune. In a decision dated May 25, the provincial administration said it had found positive cases after suspending the factories prior to the extension to collect samples for Covid-19 testing.

Preah sihanouk gendarmerie Five factory workers fined for refusing Covid-19 test Mon, 24 May 2021 Military officers in Preah Sihanouk province’s Prey Nop district detained five factory workers on May 23 for education and fines after they failed to cooperate with health officials who were taking throat swabs to check for Covid-19 infections because they had been in contact with infected persons. In a report, the officers said two of the five workers are residents of Choeung Kor commune’s Trapeang Kea village while the other three are from Veal Rinh commune’s Veal Meas village. They are all workers from the Zhi Cheang Home Pinh Furniture factory in the Checheang Special Economic Zone in Choeung Kor commune.
