暴动失败「左仔」成代罪羊
当时的香港人大部分是由大陆逃避政治动乱的难民，希望避开战祸丶安定生活，对左派的武斗渐生反感，民意一面倒向港英。周恩来下令港共停止「错误斗争」，历时8个月的斗争以失败告终，港英界定为六七暴动。
暴动中有5000多人被捕，超过2000人入狱，包括300多名未满21岁的少年政治犯，他们留有刑事案底，失学失业，前途尽毁。其中民政事务局前局长曾德成当年在传统名校圣保罗书院读书，他在校内派发共产主义及反殖民传单被捕，判囚两年。他是民建联创党主席曾钰成的弟弟，他们的胞妹曾励予当时就读庇理罗士女子中学，也因为参与暴动被判监1个月。他们一家被视为根正苗红的左派，曾钰成2015年曾透露六七暴动对其家庭影响很大，父母深受打击，终日以泪洗脸。
