I get nervous when i have to give my name for food orders. Im always concerned of who is around me. Ive lost my name, and ive lost my reputation. Ive lost my sense of security. A lot of threats, wishing death upon me. Telling me that, you know, im ill be in jail with my mother. Saying things like, be glad its 2020 and not 1920. Were a lot of these threats and vile comments racist in nature . A lot of them were racist. A lot of them were hateful. Giuliani conceded in a court filing last month hed made false statements about freeman and moss. He failed to produce any evidence in the Discovery Portion of the case, which led to the judges Defamation Ruling here. million more jobs than we do. the economy hasn t healed. the flip side the unemployment rate is low and if you ask workers, they say that jobs are plentiful. a large part of what s happening there, a lot of workers are remaining on the sidelines. they don t have jobs, but they re not ready to get back to work right now. maybe it s child care concerns or older workers who are worried about their health. a lot of people are waiting until the economy and life gets back to normal an then they re going to be back looking for work. the problem is we don t have enough jobs for those people if and when they do come back. the other problem we re not through the pandemic. how concerned are you about the omicron variant and how it could impact the economy, the supply chain, et cetera? i think the one thing we ve learned over the last two years, the single most important indicator for the future of the economy it s not monetary policy and fiscal policy, it s what s going on with covid. what wa
they are. when people can t find work or go out and look, they re typically citing covid concerns or child care concerns. it s interesting in this infrastructure bill just passed there is quite a lot of money for child care, early childhood education, so i think you ll see some of those things abate, but it takes time. the president was rightfully pointing out the progress that s been made around ports and infrastructure, but things like child care and working out, you know, how families are able to get to job, that takes time. i think we ll be months away from really seeing things shake out fully. yeah. and the pandemic is, well, basically, driving and in the background, driving all of this. the omicron variant, what becomes of it, how serious of a concern it is, we ve seen that amongst investors as we ve followed that wild ride. since the summer speaking of wild rides every month s numbers have been revised up.
