Temporary shelter homes for the internally displaced people in violence-hit Manipur are being constructed at a total cost of around Rs 149 crore: CM Biren
Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh has stated that the situation in the state is returning to normalcy. The government has started providing prefabricated homes to those affected by ethnic strife. Singh expressed gratitude to civil society organizations, churches, and women s groups for their support in restoring normalcy. He inaugurated temporary shelter homes for displaced families and emphasized that rehabilitation is a top priority. The government plans to construct permanent houses in the future. Singh also mentioned various welfare schemes that have improved the standard of living in Manipur.
