People. Matt, the fire has claimed a life. Tell us more. Reporter thats right, that person was trying to evacuate, but they got into a car accident, and the car overturned. Firefighters trying to save as many people as possible, trying to get everyone to evacuate. The fire has covered more than 15 square miles and is quickly moving to heavily populated areas. You see the dramatic pictures. The fire started yesterday and is powered by the strong santa ana winds. Some gusts have topped 15 miles per hour. Firefighters have been fearing Something Like this could happen, and it did. The wind has been pushing the fire about 60 miles northwest of los angeles. It has about 30,000 residents. Its also nearing ventura which has around 106,000 residents. The fire is pushing quickly toward venturventura. Big travel day as well. So, were not really anticipating travel delays even though right now theres some Winter Weather across interior portions of the northeast. Old woman who protected philadelphia as a police offic officer. Her body was found with at man s signed this home on the 2900 block of mercer street around noontime monday. She was nice. She was friendly. You know, relatively outgoing. She would talk to you. Pretty quiet neighborhood you dont really see too much tee such of this going on at owl. Reporter investigators say the officer was assigned to the First District and that she was 14 year veteran of the force. Family and friends embraced as the bodies were removed from the scene. Any sign of trouble ever. No, nothing at all. Just she did her job i mean apparently and she would come home.
