griego. hi, everyone. i m frank mallicoat. the pilot on board died when that small plane went down. kpix 5 s lisa chan with a look at the events leading up to that deadly crash. reporter: investigators from the alameda county coroner s office, sheriff s department, faa and ntsb came back to the site of this plane crash looking for clues. they plan to be here for a couple of days as they move the plane to a storage facility where they can do a thorough investigation. it usually takes a little while for these investigations to proceed. they have to get the wreckage out of here. and then the reports generally take quite some time. reporter: the pilot is the only person believed to be on board this piper pa-22, radioing in to the livermore airport reporting control problems shortly after taking off from the municipal airport. we had several witness reports that saw the plane crash-land we have also a call from the tower from livermore and also said that they felt they h
