Chartered Accountants Ireland North West Society held its annual Christmas lunch last Friday at the Glasshouse Hotel with guest of honour, Ballymote native, Deirdre McGettrick. She founded U-Furnish in the UK, a website that collates the furniture offerings from hundreds of retailers and she has been successful in getting backing from some high profile investors such as Pat McCann. She is winner of Lloyds Banks New Entrepreneur of the Year Award. During her speech she hinted at a possible expansion in Ireland and a possible base in her native County. Pictures by Carl Brennan.
