A vote to remove GVR s President Don Weaver on Wednesday failed 7-5, but the motion s author said the hard-sell resolution still put the issues on notice.

GVR directors stuck to their guns Tuesday on whether they struck a good deal with the purchase of a former golf course clubhouse earlier this year.
In a special meeting they also voted to kill an investigative committee looking into who leaked information to the media during the search for a new CEO.Â

Concerns over a Letter to the Editor signed by five GVR directors drew lots of comments at a meeting Wednesday, but a deadlocked vote meant it wouldnât be deemed a violation of the boardâs Code of Conduct.
The letter, published as an In My View on the opinion pages of the Green Valley News on Nov. 22, was submitted in response to newspaper editorials critical of GVRâs CEO hiring process. It was signed by Don Weaver, Mike Zelenak, Donna Coon, Randy Howard and Beverly Tobiason.
