They tell me six more people evacuated from that cruise ship in japan, who came to travis for quarantine, are now hospitalized because theyve developed symptoms of coronavirus. Three developed the symptoms on the plane on their way back to california, and three people are being tested for quarantine at travis sunday night. They are in napa tonight. We are in napa tonight because thats where two people are being treated at queen of the valley medical center. One was a confirmed case. The other patient is being tested for the virus. Probably ten minutes. Looks like some final street sweeping on that side. This accident happened around 1 45. It was the result of a dui driver. There was a 25yearold man, according to chp, driving a red sedan, a zip car, when he wrecked into the center divide. He got out of the car, leaving his car in the number two lane. He went to the side of the road, safe, drunk but safe, and the two trucks collided with the van. Only one had to be transported for minor injuries. The gravel spilled and both lanes, the northbound side the direction they were headed and the southbound side. Thats, again, why both lanes shut down. Again, we expect the southbound side to be reopened in 30 minutes. The northbound side looks like theyre finishing up the sweeping, should be opening in about ten minutes. Was carjacked. He says the suspect was yelling, screaming, and upset when he pulled over for police but he never saw a weapon. There was nothing i can do. I cant help him out. Reporter Hayward Police say the suspect has previously driven the stolen red suv through lafayette, danville, san ramon and dublin before ending up in hayward and inside nathans car.
