The sixtime pro bowler is accused of spanking his son with a wooden switch. The team had kept peterson off the field for sundays game but announced on monday that he would be reinstated. This all changed early this morning after the team and the league came under some very heavy criticism. The states governor mark dayton called for petersons suspension yesterday, and he wrote in part, quote, its an awful situation, yes. Mr. Peterson is entitled to due process and should be innocent until proven guilty. However, he is a public figure, and his actions, as described, are a public embarrassment to the Vikings Organization and the state of minnesota.
