Nelson Yuan-sheng Kiang, an influential MIT researcher known for his research into speech and hearing, as well as his dedication to enhancing academic exchange between Chinese and American scientists, has died at age 93.
M. Charles Liberman, PhD, whose research forever changed the way experts understand the underlying causes of hearing loss, has been awarded the Scientific Grand Prize from the France-based La Fondation Pour l'Audition.
