Charles Howell III says it was never about the money when he joined Saudi-funded LIV Golf in July 2022 during its inaugural season. Howell mentioned his 22 years on the PGA Tour ($42 million in career earnings) and the 609 tournaments he played (two as an amateur). Howell is not eligible for any of the majors and did not attempt U.S. Open qualifying the last two years.

Anirban Lahiri shot a 7-under 65 and Bryson DeChambeau delivered the theatrics on the back nine of the Blue Monster to lead the Crushers to a two-shot victory over the RangeGoats in the LIV Golf team championship Sunday at Trump Doral. The scores from all four players on every team counted in the final event of LIV Golf's second season, and the Crushers were in control for almost all of the back nine, and led by four shots as the final group reached the 18th hole.
Brooks Koepka played bogey-free Saturday for an 8-under 62, building a three-shot lead in LIV Golf-Jeddah as he looks to win on Saudi Arabian soil for the second straight year. Koepka picked up his first LIV Golf League victory at Royal Greens a year ago.
