Then theres a 3. 5 trillion package that democrats hope to pass through reconciliation. This week will be critical. By friday we could know whether congress can pass either or neither or both. House and senate democrats seem unified if their approach to the twobill strategy. Much of that unity may depend on goodfaith negotiations with republicans on the bipartisan bill. It may not hold if the gop walks away from this framework. So far, congressional republicans have not been unified by many things as strongly as their opposition to President Bidens agenda.
