Spoke to reporters just a few minutes ago. What did they say . Reporter were learning that three people are now dead after this boat capsized this morning off the coast of san diego. Over 20 people were taken to the hospital. Some with serious injuries. We just got an update a short time ago, as far as the reason for this boat, why it was in the water, why it was transiting the Location Outside of san diego, authorities believe this was part of a smuggling operation. Take a listen to what they just said. Every indication from our perspective is that this was a smuggling vessel, smuggling migrants into the United States illegally. We cant confirmed the nationality of the people involved. But our agents are with many of them at the hospital. And the man who we believe was the Operator Agents are with them, and the suspected smuggler. But the investigation is still unfolding. Now the captain of that vessel has been detained according to officials, he is under investigation at this hour. T

Checked on my animals and fed them and water them and make sure things are okay. The power is out at my house. Reporter so, the superintendent of log anita school says it was closed today. Many students and staff were at evacuation centers, or even staying with Family Friends outside of the evacuation zone before they were lifted just a short time ago. The big problem here is thathas cut power to many of the homes here. They are still waiting. The warning now is that if you do read return home, the power may still not be on for some time. We will have to see when that happens the other problem is the winds are pretty strong. That has prompted some concern from residents. We can tell you that we have seen concerns from residents and despite the weather conditions, crews seem to be getting the upper hand in the containment of this fire. Those forced to evacuate. Many came to the san Geronimo Community center. About 8 15, we grew to 150 people here. Reporter dave court is the executive director of the community shelter, providing for those in the community. It was pretty much a towering inferno from the parking lot. Reporter that parking lot is shared with lagunitas schools where the superintendent cancel classes because many students and staff were evacuated. Marin county fire reported that around 12 30 in the afternoon, helicopters dropping water played a major hand in increasing containment to 35 from few hours. Late tuesday afternoon, all evacuation orders were lifted, the marin county fire reports many homes are still without power since pg e cut electricity during the fire.
