Washington, D.C. (KINY) - U.S. Senator Dan Sullivan (R-Alaska), a member of the Senate Environment & Public Works (EPW) Committee and vice chair of the Senate Western Caucus, celebrated the Supreme Court’s unanimous ruling yesterday in Sackett vs. the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), which reins in the Biden administration’s expansive interpretation of the federal government’s authority under the Clean Water Act to regulate “waters of the United States” (WOTUS).
WASHINGTON (KINY) - U.S. Senator Dan Sullivan, a member of the Senate Environment and Public Works (EPW) Committee, and 52 of his Senate colleagues Thursday passed legislation, introduced by EPW Ranking Member Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.), to overturn President Biden’s Waters of the United States (WOTUS) Rule.

Senators Announce Historic, Bipartisan Agreement on Environmental Innovation Legislation
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-WY), chairman of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works (EPW), Committee Ranking Member Tom Carper (D-DE), and Senators Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV), Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI), and John Kennedy (R-LA) announced a historic, bipartisan agreement to include multiple pieces of environmental innovation legislation in the omnibus.
The omnibus will now include:
The Utilizing Significant Emissions with Innovative Technologies (USE IT) Act to promote carbon capture technologies;
The reauthorization of the Diesel Emissions Reduction Act (DERA) program; and
