In-Home COVID-19 Vaccinations Begin Across Central New York

Syracuse-based Nascentia Health is one of two New York programs bringing a vaccine to homebound patients. “Well, it’s kind of funny cause everything goes full circle, right?” said Andrea Lazarek-LaQuay, Nascentia Health chief clinical officer. “Because back in the day, home care is who provided the vaccines. Health care workers went to the patients, went to people’s homes, and provided the care and vaccines. Here we are 100 years later, finally doing the same thing.”

1 Dead After Multiple Vehicle Crash in Downtown Syracuse By Spectrum News Staff Syracuse PUBLISHED 5:23 PM ET Mar. 09, 2021 PUBLISHED 5:23 PM EST Mar. 09, 2021 SHARE One person is dead after a multi-car crash in downtown Syracuse Tuesday morning. According to Syracuse Police, it happened just after 7:45 a.m. at the intersection of West Fayette and West streets. Police said a car was speeding down West Fayette and hit several vehicles stopped at a red light. Multiple people were taken to the hospital and a 49-year-old man died from his injuries. The victim s name isn t being released right now. Investigators are still looking into the crash.

County Legislator Chris Ryan gave many accolades, and added that D.A. William Fitzpatrick was the one who stepped forward and suggested that all the police agencies in Onondaga County work together on this executive ordered police reform plan instead of having 20 different plans submitted saying different things.
