But that is just a fraction of the 15,000 americans who may be stuck in afghanistan right now. In fact the pentagon admitted yesterday that they are not even sure how many americans are still there. And then there are tens of thousands of afghans also trying to get out of the country, nbc s chief foreign correspondent richard engel has that story.
