the federal prosecutor who did just that former federal judge assistant u.s. attorney john gleason. judge welcome and congratulations on the book for. thank you eric thank you for having me. of course why did you decide to write the book? it s unique it came for me prosecutor judge perspective not a humble scribe like me. i had to write this book. i was very fortunate to have ten years of interaction with john gotti. standing about a bunch of people around them. it was a very unique time in the history of our city in the history of organized crime. never had a celebrity boss before. never sought law enforcement mobilize the way it did because he basically stuck his finger in the eye of the fbi. and i knew, the minute we convicted him i knew i had to write the stuff down pretty thought i was going to write it
