Carson City BMX is hosting a fundraiser for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation - Laps for Lungs on Friday, Sept. 13. This is separate from CCBMX racing schedule. The laps will be done during the practice times (6-7 pm). You do not need to be a USABMX member to participate in this worthy cause. You do need to fill out a 1-day trial membership (free).
Sundays can be a lazy day if you prefer, but there’s plenty to do if you’d rather seize the day. There s a Health Energy Fair today from 11 to 4 in Carson City. The pet parade at Dayton Valley Days is free for all participants, so dress up Fido in his best costume and strut your stuff.
The Carson City area BMX community has launched its annual Race For Life campaign to help raise money in the fight to find a cure for blood-related cancers. Racers and their families can pick up collection envelopes and begin collecting donations from friends, relatives, neighbors and businesses in the community.
Apologies to all but Carson City BMX is postponing their Open House and start of racing to Easter weekend, April 20 and 21. Track prep has been slow going but heck or high water pushing to make this happen.
