The American Academy Of Pediatrics reports more than 250,000 new cases involving children arise in the last week. Thats a 23 increase from the week before. And 250 increase from five weeks ago. Nearly 27 of all new weekly cases are children. That is a much higher percentage than we have seen over the course of the pandemic. Now, it is important to note that while a quarter of all new cases are now among kids, they represent a much smaller portion of those hospitalized, about 2. 5 of hospitalizations.
