Burnham and Highbridge Town Council has thanked Police and Somerset Council for their swift response in evicting a large group of travellers from the town this week.
Security has been reviewed at Burnham-On-Sea's Cassis Close playing fields after a large convoy of travellers managed to gain entry earlier this week, prompting Police to issue a rare Section 61 notice to move them.
More than 20 members, helpers and carers at a Burnham-On-Sea group which helps people with learning difficulties have headed off on a summer break this week.
