COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. For the second week in a row, and for the fourth time this season, Justin Armbruester has been named the Mountain West Pitcher of the week, becoming the first pitcher this season to earn the honor four times.
Armbruester pitched a complete game versus the Spartans, leading the Lobos to a doubleheader sweep. On the mound, he held the Spartans scoreless through six innings, allowing the Lobos to jump ahead 14-2
Overall, in the game, Armbruester faced 26 batters, struck out 12, allowed just five hits, and walked none. He is the first New Mexico pitcher to not allow a walk in a complete game since 2016 (Carson Schneider vs. San Diego State).
