A local Christmas toy drive that began six years ago by a Carson City woman dying of cancer continues through this weekend, ending Sunday as part of her last wishes the drive continue after her death.
Linda Javitch Furbee was born on December 2, 1947 in Los Angeles, California to her parents, Pauline and Harry Javitch. She is survived by her husband, Stephen Nicholas, and about a million friends, and colleagues, including the many people she helped on their journeys in her various roles in the community.
