The Carson City community held its third annual Holiday Crawl Benefit 2017 on Saturday to raise money for the Holiday with a Hero campaign that gives local homeless children a chance to shop for themselves and family for Christmas. The downtown Carson City event was attended by more than 400 people, up about 100 from last year, organizers say.
UPDATE 10:04PM: An adult female who was walking in a crosswalk with her boyfriend was struck by the driver of a sedan who was making a left turn onto Roop Street from Robinson, said Carson City Sheriff s Office Sgt. Craig Lowe. The injured woman was alert and conscious at the time she was taken to Carson Tahoe Hospital.
An alcohol compliance check Friday, March 28 at 37 local businesses that sell alcoholic beverages had two establishments that failed the compliance test, according to the Carson City Sheriff s Office.
