The school board's scheduled Wednesday vote on the diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging plan was postponed because of the board president's absence.
The students said a speech given by the school's vice principal at a church and a postponement of a vote on flying the Pride flag show a lack of support for the LGBTQ community, just as Pride month approaches.
A few hundred students at two high schools walked out of class Tuesday after a school board decided a Pride flag would not be raised, according to ABC 10 News.
