California Air National Guard members from Silicon Valley are in Santa Barbara helping with search and rescue efforts. Good morning. Hurricane maria regaining strength after leaving behind an island with destruction and Power Outages in puerto rico. Maria is a major hurricane back up to a category 3 storm as it brushes the Dominican Republic and aims for the turks and caicos. And that means winds of 115 miles an hour but this is the scene in puerto rico. It was a category 4, 155 miles an hour when it pounded into the island and left streets looking like rivers after more than two feet of rain fell in some areas. We begin with abcs arlette saenz.
