Sydney tradesman tests positive to coronavirus after visiting Northern Beaches RSL

A tradesman who sat down for a burger and had no interaction with anyone whatsoever has tested positive for coronavirus. Peter Greenwood is now one of 28 cases linked to the growing Northern Beaches cluster in Sydney, after he attended the Avalon RSL on Friday night and Avalon Bowlo on Sunday afternoon. The local resident said he had no symptoms before testing positive yesterday and was not contacted by anyone at the venues or from the government. It was only a phone call from a friend asking him if he had heard about the outbreak linked to the venues which prompted him to get a swab.

Pete Evans warns friends 'you'll be next' after his career fell apart

A delusional Pete Evans is still blaming the media for his spectacular career implosion, after he was dropped by more than a dozen sponsors in less than 24 hours in response to his neo-Nazi meme scandal. In a video interview recorded last month but released this week, the disgraced celebrity chef, 47, played the victim card as he reflected on his fall from grace. He also shared a bizarre anecdote about warning friends of the coming reckoning, saying that others will be ostracised for standing up like he did. High alert: Sydney COVID cluster grows to 17

News by James O’Doherty Premium Content   NSW Health has effectively placed 250,000 people on the Northern beaches under a three-day stay at home order after COVID cases tripled on Thursday. Twelve additional cases were detected after a testing blitz on last night, taking the outbreak to a total of 17 cases. The aircrew van driver from southern Sydney who tested positive earlier this week is not included in this cluster. The timing of the outbreak could not be worse - a week out from the busy Christmas period - has many Australians on edge over holiday bookings interstate.   Northern Beaches local residents line up at Mona Vale hospital for a COVID-19 test as a cluster in the area grows.
