The Early Childhood Regulatory Authority is seeking to fill three positions (1 permanent, 2 temporary) within the centralised Compliance team with people who thrive working in an ever-changing reactive work environment.
But that application was refused by the council in September last year. That refusal is also the subject of a Planning and Environment Court appeal, which is ongoing since being lodged by Mr Griffith s company in October last year. Council documents showed two people made submissions against the Maroochydore project, including Smartland Developments director Jay Luckie and School Rd resident Shona Thompson. But the project was approved, with council officers responding to concerns raised in the submissions including traffic and staff to children ratios. Mr Luckie, whose company operates Smartland Boutique Early Learning Centre about 2km away from the new centre, said there was not enough demand for the project.
