Camping is restricted to developed campgrounds, campfires are permitted only between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m., and landing and launching boats is restricted to developed shorelines only.
The restrictions follow a wildfire Thursday in the Carberry area, east of Brandon, that forced the evacuation of a number of homes, damaging one of them.
The Carberry North Cypress-Langford Fire Department said in a Facebook post Friday that while the investigation into the fire hadn t been completed, they suspected it was caused by an ATV.
The post said conditions in the area are extremely dry due to little snowfall over the winter.
