According to the Gay and Lesbian Alliance of South Africa, she was murdered in the Khayelitsha township on Sunday.

A 39-year-old man was arrested for the alleged murder of a Khayelitsha woman believed to be part of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ) community. The murder comes just a day after the funeral of Lonwabo Jack, who was also brutally murdered for allegedly being gay.
Police spokesperson Colonel Andre Traut said the murdered woman was found with multiple stab wounds in Cape Town.
