Pride Week continues for another vibrant weekend and as the alert levels have dropped back to level 1, plenty of events will be held over the weekend and coming week. There is a lot of fun to be had, but equally there is opportunity to stand in solidarity with those affected by the March 15 terror attack. National remembrance service for the March 15 terror attack Saturday, 3pm at Christchurch Arena. The service will mark the second anniversary of the Christchurch terror attack. Fifty-one people died and dozens were injured at the Masjid An-Nur (Al Noor mosque) and Linwood Islamic Centre when a terrorist gunman opened fire on March 15, 2019. Saturday s service is an opportunity to stand in solidarity with those affected, and will be jointly led by the local Muslim community, the Christchurch City Council standing with Ngāi Tūāhuriri as mana whenua, and the Government.
