penn station due to downed power lines. experiencing about 60 minute delays due to track repair work vai. thank you, jessica. speaking of track. amtrak is back on track. we are waiting for the first train to leave 30th street station. nearly one week after a deadly derailment. this is a live look now from sky force 10. amtrak trains resumed operating between philadelphia and new york this morning. nbc 10 s matt delucia is live at amtrak s 30th street station. what can you tell us? reporter: vai, passengers just got on board. the train is going to leave in a few minutes. 300 amtrak workers spent the entire weekend repairing the track so the service could be restored. it will have automatic train control that will slow the train if it is speeding. that s one of the safety measures added here. in addition to the passengers, i spoke to an amtrak rep here. he insists that travelers will be safe. the message to passengers is that amtrak is safe to ride. we re very pleased t
