that verdict and, as you mentioned, hoping for some final relief some seven and a half years after the original crime. beau zabel was a teaching fellow who had just moved to the city of philadelphia for a program at drexel when he was killed back in june of 2008. in the time before his classes began, he was working at a starbucks coffee shop on south street. he had just closed the store that june night when he was gunned down for his ipod near the italian market as he was walking home. now, the defendant in this case, marcellus jones, is already serving a life sentence for the murder of a different man, that man believed to be the getaway driver on the night of zabel s killing. jones allegedly killed that man because he was concerned about snitching. now, this trial has lasted almost exactly a week and during the course of it, jurors have actually heard from neighbors who heard the gunshots on that june night back in 2008. as the case was wrapping up yesterday. marcellus jone
