Bikes hold an immense amount of power. Athletes use them to make money, others use them for leisurely excursions as entertainment and some use them to get their heart rate up, but in impoverished countries.
The Summit track and field team was busy in its last week of the regular season as it competed in three meets over a span of two days in an effort to race a few.
It may be have been the day of prom for Summit High Schools’ juniors and seniors but that did not prevent the upperclassmen from performing well at the Steamboat Springs Invitational track and field meet.
It is not uncommon for track and field teams to come out of spring break a little rusty, but the Summit High School team was a well-oiled machine and picked up where it left off.
On the weekend heading into spring break, the Summit High School track and field team sent a smaller squad to the Demon Invitational hosted by Glenwood Springs on Saturday, April 16. Despite having fewer athletes.
