And is currently 20 contained. Burning in a northeast direction from elk Mountain Road which is state responsibility, and on to the Mendocino National forest which is the United States forest service. How populated is this area . There are some evacuations going on right now. The area is a small community. It does have a population. 20 residents were on the White Rock Canyon road that were displaced and moved to the upper lake park, where red cross is assisting.
